The
Department of Mechanical Engineering started in 1986 offers under
graduate course in Mechanical Engineering. The department has well
equipped laboratories and workshops. This includes, Computerized
Numerical Controlled (CNC) Machines, I.C. Engines Lab, Instrumentation
Lab, Metrology Lab, Heat Transfer & Vibrations Lab, CAD Lab etc.,

CAD Lab is
provided with 15 Pentium Machines with advanced software packages.The
Department has its own Library with more than 500 books on Mechanical
Engineering subjects. The Department continuously organizes technical
talks from eminent Professors & leading industrial personalities and
seminars on technical topics, video shows etc.
Running M.Tech course in Product Design and Manufacturing with an intake
of 18 from the academic year 2003. |

by Mr. D. Arun Kumar Rai
Our Hearty
Congratulations to Mr. Arun Kumar Rai, a student of 5th Semester
Mechanical, for being won first prize in the National Level Student
Technical Symposium "TORQUE'05", held on 16-17 December 2005 at Diamond
Jubilee Celebrations College of Engineering, Kakinada. He has presented
the paper entitled "Step & working model Exhibition (Robot)".

Inauguration of
Mechanical Engineering Association [MEA]
Department of
Mechanical Engineering, has organised the inaugural function of MEA
and also welcome function for 3rd Semester students of Mechanical
Engineering on 7-10-2005 at college auditorium.
Prof. S.G. Gopalakrishna, Principal, presided over the function.
Prof. N.A. Jnanesh, HOD, Mechanical Department, presented the
achievements and the facilities available in the department. |
